VOLUNTEER SCHEME

Our volunteer scheme is now full for the 2020 season

This year, we are opening our volunteer scheme to 4 members of our community. The scheme, which runs every Wednesday, offers those who are keen to learn more about vegetable growing and organic practices the opportunity to prepare, seed, plant, maintain and harvest with us. Our Volunteer Scheme members will also enjoy the fruits of their labour by becoming a CSA share member and experience home cooked food from our gardens.

  • 5.5 hours volunteering per week (Wednesday 9-4pm, including 30 minute break and 1hr for lunch)

  • Learn tips and tricks, first hand, from experienced growers

  • Contribute to your local Community Supported Agriculture Scheme

  • Free membership to a Large CSA share worth £380

This is great experience to learn, first hand, all aspects of growing and to contribute to your local Community Supported Agriculture Scheme.

Whether you're a hobby grower or interested in starting a Market Garden of your own, we're certain that this will be a day well spent!

Volunteers must be able to:

  • Join us every Wednesday (with exceptions) from June 19th- December 23rd

  • Be prepared to work outside in all weather conditions

  • Carry out farm work for 5.5 hours in one day

Bring:

  • Suitable shoes

  • Suitable clothing and hat

  • Suncream

  • Waterproof clothing
